Mrs Steel - 6FS

Learning about evacuation during WW2.

We loved exploring WW 2 artefacts when we started our topic. Huge thank you to the family who brought them in.

Another great winner!

Everyone enjoyed our Jubilee Day

Another well deserving Hot Chocolate Friday winner. Fabulous as always!

More Easter Fun - rolling and jarping! No jarping winner this year ... the finalists were so keen to win they both managed to break their own eggs!

Super Easter Fun - decorating eggs

Transition events are well and truly underway in Year 6.

It was lovely to see our children work so well with sports leaders from Thorp! Well done and a huge thank you to everyone involved.

Great session with Rise
I was so impressed by everyone’s mature and sensible discussion of friendships, understanding the perspective of others and conflict resolution!

6FS loved World Book DAY!

We had a great time sharing books, explored the life of poor children in Victorian times with ‘Charles Dickins’ and devised a plan for Jim Jarvis to escape from the workhouse before writing a diary or storyboard of his day. Costumes were amazing and one lovely young lady even brought in cupcakes to share in a bun break because that’s what her character would have done!

MATHS PUZZLES

6FS have been working really hard in maths, learning about square numbers, primes and cubes as well as factors and multiples. They put their knowledge to the test creating a puzzle of factors and multiples to challenge their friends with!

6FS have been enjoying a great Pusdey Children in Need Day, raising money for a fantastic cause!

Year 6 went to see the Cycling Race
